Search Engine Optimization VS. Search Engine Optimisation – the difference as it turns out; is a matter of location.
Optimization is the US spelling whereas Optimisation is the UK fashion – same word, but with totally different SERP listings. {I always seem to find this trivial stuff interesting.}
Does anybody else know of any words for which different spelling targets different geographies?
About: Sidewalk Branding Company is a Rhode Island internet marketing & SEO/SEM firm. Award winning and internationally published, they focus on getting solopreneurs and small businesses (less than 25 employees or so) discovered online – locally.

Also maybe of interest is that someone in the UK is more likely to respond to a company spelling it as ‘optimisation’ because they’re ‘local’ (and so understand the local market). I would imagine the same applies the other way round.
